Alaskan Seaplane

Anchorage, AK, 2019

Seaplanes are an essential part of life in Alaska. Basic tasks like taking your child to school can be a daunting challenge because of the remote landscapes.  With over 750 resident aircrafts, Anchorage, AK has the largest Seaplane base in the world. During the winter months, a majority of the planes will replace their floats with skis which allows the aircraft to land on snow instead of water.
