About Me

Welcome to my page! My name is Dalin Nelson, and I am an independent filmmaker. I recently graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Cinema Art and Sciences, with a concentration in Directing.

I am currently the Social Media Manager for the non-profit organization Stop Poaching Now! In this role, I create and post content that has been shared by celebrities and influencers across social media platforms to help raise awareness and money to save wildlife animals.

In addition to my work at SPN!, I also work under Heidi Jo Markel as a 2nd level Development Intern at Eclectic Pictures. While in this position, I help develop stories from the ground up and try to get them production-ready. I also edit and review production packages that are sent to other production companies, agents, and anyone else who might be interested.

I was born in Stockton, California, and I grew up there with my two moms and triplet sisters. For the first 9 years of my education, I attended a school with a dual-immersion program where I learned how to read, write, and speak in Spanish.

On the rare occasion when I have free time, you will find me creating music, or relaxing by a body of water. My favorite activity is Scuba Diving, and the dream is to one day dive with a whale.
